How To Set Up The Magic, Jack?

Before anything else, let me give you a brief introduction of what Magic Jack is. Magic Jack is a VoIP device that allows you to make unlimited calls to the US and Canada for free. That means no monthly bills and no headache! The installation is quite simple.  You'll just be needing a PC + a reliably fast internet connection + the plug and play Magic Jack device + your existing wired or cordless home phone. I like to multi-task that's why I prefer the cordless phone. *shown image*.

The installation is quite simple. You will be surprised with how easy it is to use and the quality for just less than $40. You simply plug the Magic Jack device into your computer's USB port,  plugin your phone and connect it to your your Magic Jack, and start calling. Well, technically that's how it works. But you have to realize that the installation of the device program  should be executed to your PC so before it prompts you to make a call it will lead you first to a registration page that needs you to enter your personal information and your choice of number. *Note that it will be asking for a credit card # for security reasons but you will not be charged. Should you be wanting to continue using magic jack after the free one whole year trial period, you will be notified via email.  A virtual phone number will be assigned to you as your official MJ number that you can use making outgoing call and receiving incoming calls. Once done, the device will continue to install the rest of the program. You may restart your PC after the installation. Once the installation is successful you will see a magic jack icon shown at your desktop like this --->  Click that icon and you will be prompted with these screenshots:  Click the Start magicJack icon so your magic jack phone interface will appear.

To be honest with you, I had trouble running the program in the first week after the installation. The reason is still a mystery to me. But after a week , I've manage to run the program smoothly. Surprisingly the voice quality was good. Way better than the 3G cellphone I tried using to makes international calls but not quite on par with true landlines. As long as you have fast internet broadband connection voice quality will not be compromised. *I use smart broadband connection. Not bad and is keeping up with the device.*  Priced at a reasonable $34.13, magicJack comes with a year's worth of service (an annual subscription runs $19.95 after that, with international prepaid packages starting for as little as $5).
